Dear teachers,
In order to help your students to reduce the anxiety and familiar with the tests, here are the samples and competition formats for all the levels in reading, writing and speaking categories.

High School Level 5: Speaking
- Students will need to prepare the following topics, but only one topic will be randomly drawn at the scene.
- Level 5. Length of the speech: 2.5 minute – 3 minutes
- After the student finishes the speech, the Judges will ask 3 - 4 questions related to the topic.
- A Chinese Art form (Calligraphy, Painting, Musical Instrument, Beijing Opera, etc.)
- Pros and Cons of the Use of Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/Other Social Media
- How to main a healthy life style?

High School Level 5: Reading
Students will read seven pieces of reading and complete the multiple choice questions. There are total 35 questions and 5 questions for each reading piece. The test time is 45 minutes.

Essay Writing Essay:
You will be provided with three different topics to choose from. The topics will be related to the three themes listed below:
Three topics are related from the list below:
Students may use pinyin for some words they forgot how to write characters. However, the pinyin used shouldn't exceed more than 15% of the total writing.
Writing 5 scoring guidelines:

- Reach word count requirement of 300 characters.
- Utilize good writing composition technique/ organization.
- Must have at least 3 paragraphs including an introduction, body, and a conclusion.
- Show good penmanship
