High School Level 3 Test Preparation

Dear teachers,

In order to help your students to reduce the anxiety and familiar with the tests, here are the samples and competition formats for all the levels in reading, writing and speaking categories. 

High School Level 3: Speaking

  • Students will need to prepare the following topics, but only one topic will be randomly drawn at the scene.  
  • Level 3. Length of the speech: 1.5 minute – 2 minutes
  • After the student finishes the speech, the judges will ask 1-2 questions related to the topic.

High School Level 3: Reading

Students will read five articles and complete the multiple choice questions. There are 5 questions for each article and total 25 questions. The test time is 45 minutes.

Example: 爸爸希望我今年暑假去中国,他说我已经学了两年中文了,应该到中国去看看。我觉得爸爸的建议很好。我对中国文化一直很感兴趣。我想暑假在中国我不但可以学习中文,而且可以学到更多的中国文化。我打算先去南京看一位朋友,然后去北京学习一个月的中文。在北京,我要去长城,故宫,还要去吃北京烤鸭。从北京我坐飞机去西安,再坐火车去上海,最后从上海飞回美国。我会在中国待两个半月。
